A proper bluewater ketch, not a crowded tour boat
Our Passion is a 42-foot Pearson 422 ketch, owned and sailed by the two captains who maintain her. When you book, the whole boat is yours: just your group, up to six guests, and the water.
Main, genoa and mizzen, in whatever combination the day calls for. A 58 horsepower Westerbeke diesel takes over when there is not enough wind to sail.
The Charters
Four ways to spend a day on the water
Full Day Charter
Cuttyhunk, at the outer end of the Elizabeth Islands. It is such a magical place.
5-Hour Charter
Hadley Harbor or Eel Pond, two of the prettiest anchorages anywhere on the bay.
4-Hour Charter (Half Day)
Across toward the Elizabeth Islands, out into the middle of the bay, or over to a harbor like Marion.
3-Hour Charter
Three relaxed hours off Ned’s Point Light, in the morning, the afternoon, or timed for sunset. For a sunset with time to explore first, choose four or five hours.

Where We Sail
Mattapoisett and Woods Hole
Most charters leave from Mattapoisett, centrally located along the middle of the bay’s northern shoreline. Woods Hole puts the Elizabeth Islands and Martha’s Vineyard within closer reach. Tell us which is easier for you.
Buzzards Bay is widely considered some of the best sailing grounds on the Atlantic coast of the United States. It delivers a reliable southwest breeze nearly every summer afternoon, and it never feels crowded.
